And all that Jazz

You have to listen to this little number by Chris Barber's Jazz Band with Monty Sunshine. It's called Petite Fleur. I think this is the 8th consecutive time I'm listening to it.
And what else? There are a lotta people at home.
Wilma said hi to my brother. But didn't stay very long. Tempestuous relationships has he.
I am very very happy today. India won :-) Dravid is the man of the match :-) :-) :-)
A-a-a-nd the pix from Egypt all came in. Some of them are really good.
Egypt was really great. The camel ride, the pyramids, the cruise, the museum, the temples and tombs, the sphinx...I wish I could go back and do it all over again.
I was thinking of writing a travelogue of some sort...but just don't feel upto it right now. Umm...missing college a bit. But nothing beats getting up at 11 in the morning and hanging around in torn t-shirts and shorts. I just realised I'm gonna have to pay a huge fine. Damn library book. And to think I didn't even read it.
And I'm bored of blogging. So buh-bye.

I-I-I-I-I

I'm in love with the idea of becoming a recluse.
I've suddenly discovered my love for Lynyrd Skynyrd
I don't miss my cell phone at all
I have this huge crush on Neil Young, even if I haven't heard much of his music
I'm very happy for a person I've loved since age 11
I love this weather
I want to be on the move all the time
I think I love travelling more than anything in the world
I can sing and play the guitar at the same time, IF and only if I'm all alone in my room
I'm really tanned right now
I have a slight headache
I'm practically blind...but I hate wearing lenses or glasses
I wish I could drive properly
I love being on my own
I love not having to pretend
I want to meet my brother for his birthday
I hate growing old
I love acting in front of the bathroom mirror
I get a little disturbed by people who remind me of me
I like not having to depend on people
I hate being taken advantage of
I don't like being rude to people
I love food, smoke and alcohol
I like wearing aftershave
I am an adrenaline junkie
I hate being labelled
I love playing
I hate competing
I want to go camping
I miss my old home
I am very impatient with stubborn people
I am, as is obvious, very very self absorbed

Guess where I've been

Okay. So I missed Pujo. But you see, I had to go somewhere. I took some shots. But I'll show you just one. I'll fill in the details later. Just had to boast a little for the time being. :-)

The 55 word story thing

Peter, Tinkerbell and I wrote an elegy of a musical mosquito. We called it “Tada! And SPLAT”. Sold over a million copies. But the book didn’t speak favourably of mosquitoes. So a swarm of them ganged up and bit us. Peter got old, Tinkerbell faded away and I got dengue. Not a happy story this.

OR

A drowsy Sunday afternoon: Tinkerbell, Peter and I were conducting very complicated brain surgery on Snoopy in the backyard. But we weren’t particularly patient and went in a while later. We were munching on cookies. Snoopy didn’t fancy being left out. So, in he came, needles galore sticking out of his brain and joined us.

A Wattchamacallit Weekend

Hmm. I've had the wildest weekend ever. Sleeping, eating, sleeping, eating....did I mention sleeping?
Anyway...I did do something fun actually! I went to the Parikrama concert at Someplace Else and since I wasn't expecting much, I ended up having a really really good time. They were...well, a little pretentious, but who isn't? I screamed when they screamed, I woo-hoo-hooed and I sent arbitrary sms-es saying that I was having a rocking good time! And of course, the music was great. I did unfortunately however, convert myself into a chimney. Somehow SPE and Classic stores has that effect on me. And I also stood right in front and head-banged and screamed next to the giant speakers...so my ears are still ringing...and my neck is in pretty bad shape...my voice was pretty hoarse till yesterday...and...I guess I'm growing old.
But good news is that Parikrama's uber-cool bassist ( who looked like he was having sex with his guitar...spanking, licking...the works) was very cute in a scary sort of way...and well...he smiled at me...(gee, golly, gosh, blush, blush, blush!)...tee hee hee. :-)
And what else? I saw Salaam Namaste and after doing so, I figured I might as well chop off my left foot for fun. Whaddya say?Jeez...it was... in one word...painful.
Umm...Have Journo and Compulsory Bangla tomorrow. Don't mean to sound all "I-am-so-English-whadoI-know-bt-Bong" types...(I hate them really)...but but but...it's been so long since I've written something in Bangla...that I dunno. Rajiv's going to think I'm crazy. I don't remember a single Bong teacher in school who was fond of me. They all looked at me rather disdainfully. Anyway...let's see what happens.
By the way...I woke up at 4 in the morning today and heard the Mahalaya on the radio. I loved it. It was raining...dark...and I got very nostalgic. :-)...Pujo's almost here!!!
